Scale Decal
Is there any website where I can print decals for a model garage?
I need the decals to be 1/2"=1' scale.
1/2"=1' scale... that's architectural... in modelling it would be 1/24th scale, a very popular model car size !! I've seen decals in that scale from Tamiya USA and MicroScale Industries, as well as decals in model railroad scales that might work. There are even 1/35 scale Playboy-pin-ups through Verlinden.
Now if I understand, YOU want to print them yourself? Decals are typically graphics set on paper with a water-soluable glue, OR printed on acrylic with an adhesive backing. DO you have the appropriate printer, ink, and paper ?? MicroScale sells paper and solutions that work on ink-jet and laser printers.
What TIME period are you modelling ? Current, 70's, 60's, 50's, 40's ???
I've also done simple signage by simply cutting graphics out of magazines, flyers, ads, and pamphlets and glueing it to polystyrene (plastic) sheeting.
