Plans Blueprints
Where can I find blueprints/plans for a working, full-size, medieval catapult?
We've been learning about catapults in social studies and they seemed really cool. So I'm thinking about trying to build a full-size working one because I just think it would be really, really, awesome!

Detailed scale models you can scale up.
Are you aware of the size of the things though?
That arm was over 40' long and the bucket, when filled, weighed tens of tons!
(You'll need a sizable troop of 'Robins merry men' to winch that beam down.)
You'll be the first in you neighborhood to possess siege artillery.
Maybe start an arms race?
Seriously, do be very careful if you try even a medium scaled
model of a trebuchet or onager.
There's a lot of stored energy involved, and if something 'gives',
someone is likely to be hurt.
At high tension even a broken cable can do serious
harm as it 'whips'.
